Squad goals indeed! In what can only be described as fan fiction coming to life, Super Junior’s Donghae and Siwon, and JYJ’s Changmin have been put into the same police unit as part of their Korean military service.

Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency confirmed last night that the three idol superstars have been permanently placed in the promotional unit of the agency  -- a special team that often host events for other enlisted police officers and put on performances for them.

"They have already transferred to the unit and began work immediately," a spokesperson at the Seoul HQ confirms, stating that the trio have been at the agency since December 2015.

Donghae was in fact the first to commence his military service last October, and Siwon and Changmin effectively joined him a month later in November.

In addition to Siwon and Donghae, three other Super Junior members -- Shindong, Sungmin and Eunhyuk -- are currently carrying out their military service duties elsewhere, leaving the remaining active group looking rather lean. At it’s peak Super Junior consisted of 13 members and now it’s a modest six!

Enlisted officers at Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency have already been lucky enough to see the three perform at a January 9 event in Seoul. Sadly for the rest of us, we'll have to wait until 2017 before they return to the K-Pop stage.
