January 17, 2013 at 5:30 pm EDT

It seems that international group Cross Gene has one less flag to fly.

Chinese member J.G (real name Gao Jianing) has announced his departure from the group to pursue a solo career.

A spokesperson for the group, which debuted in June 2012, with "La-di Da-di", confirms the 20-year-old is currently exploring his options with other record labels and assures to IdolWow! that "there was no fall out".

And with an empty spot in the band's lineup, the rep confirms that there's already a new member on board - 22-year old Seyoung.

Seyoung will join remaining members Casper, Shin, Takuya, Sangmin and Yongseok.

The new recruit, who will be one of the lead vocalists, is already in rehearsals with the group as they prepare for promotional activities in Japan.
