Phew! JeA of girl group Brown Eyed Girls says that the band are not about to split up.

After reports that the band were going to disband spread across several media sites last night, the 33-year-old band leader immediately stepped forward to diffuse the talk and brand all reports as false.

JeA took to her Twitter account and wrote, "Our fans may have been shocked by these fictional reports but let me tell you they are untrue. I don’t know what they are talking about because we are currently working on our next album ;; I’m even more startled that the reports were so detailed."

She continued, "[The headline] 'Brown Eyed Girls to Disband’ is totally false and even if such a day were to come we would inform our fans directly ourselves and certainly not though these kind of articles."

Rumours first started after news emerged of the members coming towards the end of their contracts with the band's agency, Nega Network. But a rep for the group says,  "The girls are working on a new album with intentions to make a comeback within the year."
