Actor Lee Tae Sung will begin military service in October and has brought forward his wedding ceremony so he can formally marry his wife of two years.

The 28-year-old old registered a marriage with his 35-year-old wife in April 2012 a year after they became parents to a baby boy, now aged two, however the couple never had a proper wedding ceremony. (Lee asked for media outlets to keep his wife's name private).

A rep for the Rooftop Prince star announced last night that the idol actor has received enlistment orders to begin his mandatory two-year Korean army service in October.

Adds a source: "He will have a formal ceremony with his wife before he enlists. They want more than just a marriage registration. It will be like renewing their vows in a way."

Lee had actually kept word of his family life secret until November 2012, when he finally he admitted he was married with a child. "I think finally the moment has come," he said in a statement. "I'm sorry it took so long for me to let you know... I'll continue to work hard with your congratulations and your warm understanding."

Lee is about to wrap filming on comedy-drama Pots of Gold, which currently airs weekends on MBC.
