IU may be famous for her doll-like proportions, but the 20-year-old singer has revealed she is on a mission to lose even more weight.
At a May 22 fan meeting in Osaka, Japan, she admitted to feeling unhappy with her "weak jawline" while watching herself on recent episode of You're The Best, Lee Soon Shin.
"Right now, I'm on a diet," she told the mostly female fans at the NHK Hall gathering. "I eat an apple in the morning, sweet potatoes and water during the day, and I drink protein [shake] in the evening."
However, after performing her hits "Good Day", "Beautiful Dance" and "You & I", she confessed to skipping her diet that day. "Today, I ate takoyaki and cake because I have to sing," she laughed.
IU, who weighs 97 pounds (44 kg), defended her weight loss on an episode of SBS' Strong Heart last year.

"It's just that my bones are thin, so they can appear thin even when I have some meat on them," the 5-foot-3 star explained. "I lost a lot of weight [in 2011] and people said that I looked starved, and that I look like an elementary school student... On average, female celebrities [in South Korea] weigh about 100 pounds. I have the figure of a celebrity."
