First come first serve. GOT7 says they beat label mates 2PM for the use of their new single, "Stop Stop It."
At the band's comeback showcase for their new album "Identify" held at AX Korea in Seoul on November 17, member Bam Bam revealed that they weren't the only group interested in the track.
The 17-year-old singer told reporters, "When ['Stop Stop It'] first came in 2PM's Wooyoung asked Park Jin Young for the song. 15& also said the lyrics were good and asked if they could do the song. Many other agency artists told us the song was good."
Both GOT7 and 2PM are signed under JYP Entertainment, and agency head Park, 42, is said to have written and produced "Stop Stop It" himself to complement GOT7's style.
Added JB, 20, "I think 'Stop Stop It' is a really good song. I hope many people will think the same."
Meanwhile, member Jackson, 20, revealed at the showcase that his relationships with Roommate co-stars Young Ji and Lee Guk Joo are strictly platonic.
He explained, "I'm just really close with Young Ji… Guk Joo nuna really feels like my real older sister. She treats me really well and is just like my sister. I really like her. She seems to like Seo Kang Jun more, but what can I do? [laughs]."
