A rep for the singer says that Jinwoon is currently resting and being monitored by doctors at a central Seoul hospital. "Jinwoon received surgery on his right ankle [on October 7]," confirms the Big Hit Entertainment spokesman. "For now, he has been ordered to rest in the hospital, where he will continue to be monitored."
Adds a source: "He will need to stay in hospital for about a week before he is released. After that it will be two months of physiotherapy and other treatments."

Prior to the accident, the "I Was Wrong" star already had problems with his ankle but, says the source, "the injury has set him back. He should be okay to be on tour in December, but that's not the priority right now. Health comes first."
An KBS2 rep confirms he will not be MC'ing on Music Bank "until he has recovered from the accident."
Jinwoon had been returning to Seoul in the late hours of October 6 when his chauffeur-driven vehicle collided with a 25-tonne truck inside a tunnel. He was travelling with his manager and a member of his hair and makeup crew, who both sustained minor injuries.
