His death was one of the most shocking in the entertainment industry in 2017.
But late SHINee member Jonghyun was astonishingly left out from the Grammy Awards’ “in memoriam” feature.
Fans were quick to notice that Jonghyun hadn’t been included in the annual tribute to the musicians and notable industry people who were in the previous year.
Even more surprising is the featurette was followed by a performance of rapper Logic‘s “1-800-273-8255” – a song about suicide.
Many felt the exclusion was disrespectful as it was not just a montage of domestic stages as it included international names, too.
Read some of the reactions below.
so the Grammy’s can show international artists in their memoriam but not Jonghyun ??? ok

Jonghyun should have been apart of the Grammy’s “In Memoriam” segment and that’s a fact pic.twitter.com/1fvXxjVUYi

i’m still frazzled as to why jonghyun wasn’t included in the grammy memorium montage especially how it was followed by a performance about suicide but hey that’s just my opinion

So the #GRAMMYS included Jonghyun in their in memoriam on their website but not the broadcast. You'd think they would considering they had a performance about suicide prevention.https://t.co/C3dGrvwXJF pic.twitter.com/23cz5ANiRG
