D.O ‘h! Boy band EXO returned to Korea today after a weekend performing in Japan for the SMTown Live World Tour IV concert.
However, when some of the members arrived at Seoul’s Gimpo International Airport on July 7, 22-year-old D.O was seen pushed in a wheelchair by a staffer causing mass concern amongst fans.
It turns out that the idol star — real name Do Kyungsoo — sustained a leg injury during the Monday July 6 Tokyo Dome performance according to a statement by the band’s agency.
SM Entertainment write in a statement, “Whilst descending from the stage after the Japan SMTown concert D.O misplaced his step and injured his leg. He was immediately taken to a hospital and a thorough examination concluded that it is merely bruising and that there is no damage to the bones or ligaments.”
Despite the injury, SM promise he will be back on his feet very soon, although he will have to take it easy for the next few days.
The special Japanese version of the concert, which also took place on July 5, was host to a number of iconic SM artists beyond EXO including Super Junior, SHINee, Girls’ Generation, Red Velvet and BoA.
It’s not the first time that D.O had to be pushed around after a leg injury. In November 2013 he was spotted at an airport in a wheelchair after spraining his ankle.
