Kris of mega boy band EXO and the band’s agency SM Entertainment are continuing their dispute over his plans to terminate his contract with the agency.
In papers obtained by IdolWow!, an arbitration was filed on June 9 at the Seoul Central District Court. Details are scarce but it shows the 23-year-old star’s lawsuit to terminate his contract is one step close to reaching a conclusion.
The “Overdose” singer — who fronted EXO’s Chinese sub-unit EXO-M — filed a lawsuit on May 15 against the agency after he was met with disagreement when he expressed his wish to leave the group. Now that the case has been filed for arbitration, both the singer and the agency will need to reach a mutual agreement in order to avoid trial.
