Everybody quiet, please!
At the 27th Golden Disk Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, there was just one request G-Dragon had before going on stage – silence.
“I always like to take a moment just to get my thoughts together,” he tells IdolWow!. “It’s that moment of peace before the crazy.”
The 24-year-old rapper was at the ceremony to pick up awards for himself and BIGBANG, as well as perform with Epik High, a group he has close ties with.
Backstage, the singer was surrounded by staff, including trusted hair and makeup experts and stylists carrying high-end gems from the likes Givenchy, Lanvin, Versace (vintage, of course), Maison Martin Margiela and more.
“My schedule is quite busy at the moment,” he admits. “There hasn’t been much time to breathe [since the BIGBANG tour ended].
“I’m going straight in to rehearsals [after this week].”
Although he’s keeping tight-lipped about the 2013 G-Dragon World Tour, which was announced last week, he promises it will be a show to remember.
“So much is going in to this,” he says. “Everybody is working hard. I’m giving it all I have.”
As expected for one of the biggest selling artists of last year, G-Dragon picked up two awards – the CeCi Popularity Award for himself and MSN International Award for BIGBANG.
Proving just how popular he is around the world, he reveals: “After this I’m going straight to Paris for Men’s Fashion Week.”
It’s in Paris that he will see the results of the track he put together for Nicola Formichetti to play during the Mugler Fall-Winter 2013-2014 show.
