Viral sensation Crayon Pop released the full video for their holiday single “Lonely Christmas” last night amidst growing plagiarism accusations.
The video shows the quirky quintet bringing all their signature points from previous single “Bar Bar Bar” back again — including their infamous helmets.
A catchy chorus line ties together campy lyrics and repetitive hooks. This time, instead of “bar bar bar”, it’s “na-na”!
As expected, the members Gummi, ChoA, Soyul, Ellin and Way play up to the cameras making cute voices while wearing custom-made festive costumes inspired by Christmas trees, gingerbread men and gift wrap.
The festive release — which was composed by “Bar Bar Bar” producer Kim Yoo Min — comes as the band simultaneously fights off accusations of plagiarism on two counts.
Earlier this week Crayon Pop accused of copying the same festive costume concept as Japanese girl group Momoiro Clover Z.

“We’re trying to contact the composer,” says a rep for the band. “It’s difficult to work out if there has been any plagiarism at this point in time.”
