Baek Ji Young is stepping on to the stage for the first time in seven years, it has been announced.
The 36-year-old singer will hold her first solo concert next month in Seoul.
The February 16 show, appropriately titled “An Outing After 7 Years”, will be her first since 2006.
Her 2012 hit “Good Boy” and forthcoming January 3 single “I Hate It” will be among the many songs she performs at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium venue. And her agency, WS Entertainment, state that they plan to have her tour other main cities following the Seoul concert.
“I don’t talk or drink much and I eat special food for my voice,” Baek Ji Young has said of preparing her voice for performances.
The singer is also one of Korea’s most beloved cougars when it comes to dating too. She is currently in a relationship with 27-year-old Rooftop Prince actor Jung Suk Won. Their love blossomed after the two formed a close friendship.
Baek says she initially didn’t want their relationship to start a scandal in his new career as an actor, but true love prevailed and there are even rumours about a possible wedding in the future.
