As one of the most loved K-pop groups, fans around the world were devastated when 2NE1 announced they were breaking up in November 2016.
And now band member CL has opened up about just how emotional that time was when she first moved to Los Angeles after 2NE1 disbanded.
Promoting her new tvN reality show Livin’ The Double Life, CL told reporters at a November 22 press conference, “I don’t cry much, but I cried when I came to LA. That’s when I experienced an emotional change. It was a good time for me.”
The “Lifted” rapper and singer also opens up in the show about how she wanted the group to continue, vowing she would have stayed with 2NE1 until the end.
“It was difficult from my perspective,” she says on a preview clip from the show. “I only realized recently how hard it was. I wanted to be a part of it until the end, and I wanted to be responsible [for 2NE1].”
Livin’ the Double Life premieres on the tvN network, November 23. Start watching from 4:55 in the video below to see more.
